Jason has pushed through life with the thought that he may never be done learning. A graduate of both Business and Community service and Addictions counselling diplomas, Jason eagerly moves forward. Having two diplomas and few options for employment he found himself delving into his art to provide solace. While contemplating what his future held, a new friend was found during a tattoo session at a studio called Faith and Glory Collective. He was asked a simple question; “Why not learn to tattoo?” There it was. Although he would obtain his apprenticeship from a few other studios, this was where his inspiration was found. It began slowly like any new vision, a new path needed to be found, defined, and then travelled. He has now been tattooing eight beautiful years and has a hard time choosing any one person to thank for his success. Having had the opportunity to meet so many talented artists in his home town of Kitchener Ontario Canada, Jason admits it wasn’t easy to make it in such a blessed pool of talent. He has taken what he could from every artist who gave him time. From Nivek at Kitchener Tattoo who taught him tact and accountability; Colin, Ben, and Cam at Berlin Tattoo who taught him the basics of sketching and defining an original style; Nigel of Street City Tattoo who showed him anything is possible if you give 110%, and to his mentor Grove of Power House Tattoo who taught him just about everything else. Jason is grateful to have met all these gentlemen, as well as all the others who have shared stations next to him. He still feels like he has a lot to learn, and has a rock to help guide him; his beautiful wife Jen. Thanks go beyond, with the amount of great family and clients who have driven his career to where it is now. Especially to his children who inspire, motivate, and keep him grounded. Looking forward to his new venture as co-owner with his wife Jen, he believes that life is just beginning; with gratitude, humility, and love guiding him, he truly believes that a career in tattooing definitely goes Beyond the Skin!
